Wholesale Trend Report - Valentine Me DayB.WITCHING TREND REPORTValentine Me DayIt's all about showing your customers a bit of love. Making sure that you are vigorously prepared for Valentine's Day will most certainly result in increased sales and a fruitful relationship with your customers. As retailers you know that Valentine's Day is the biggest spending holiday after the winter shopping season. Window Displays are key. The window of the store is by far the most important advertising space any retailer has at hand. We can't stress the importance of a good window, that acts both as a business card and invitation inside the store. The theme of the window should be clear. Love! is the answer, it's just a matter of vision and craft. How you display your merchandise is completely up to you, but keep in mind that the more creative and well thought it is, the more chances you'll have of customers buying. The preparations for creating the window should start at the beginning of January to ensure that it is up and running by February 1st. It is important that the window and the store create a mental connection. The transition from the outside to the inside has to be seamless, thus meaning that your product displays will require redecorating as well. Note the colors used for this holiday are all the different shades of red, pink and variations such as coral, salmon and peach, purple (mostly lavender or pastel) and white. It is important to stick to these colors because they are the most representative for Valentine's Day and its meaning. You can hang up hearts and cupids, showcase items on color blocked displays, creating highly appealing color contrasts. Spruce things up with theme signage that note love. We like the theme of V-day Me Day.... or Love You... Treat yourself to a little something... One for You and One for Me... which celebrates self-love as well as the love of others, inspiring impulse shopping and treating oneself to a little gift. Our trick is to round up all our red and pink themed product, display creatively, and package up gift sets with red and pink bows. Then add in some hearts and other props with love vibes. Works well if you use red for holiday display too, as it's a easy change up. Have fun!
